In Art Tutorials II, I experimented with making Op art and combining it with authentic images of my body. Using myself as a model helped me overcome certain insecurities and appreciate the female body even more. I have a botanical tattoo on my hip that is dedicated to my mother who was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I started creating art that focused on nature as well as the female body. I took pictures of models in my backyard where I was able to capture the lush environment. I manipulated the models and the landscape in a way so that you can decipher the female body parts within the landscape. I have looked at works done by Louise Bourgeois, Jenny Saville, and Georgia O'Keeffe for reference.
