As an artist (who is white), it is important to know the boundaries of creating works on the BLM movement. I realized that my previous piece portrayed something graphic and upsetting and as white person I cannot create something I cannot relate to or haven't experienced. So with that in mind, I wanted to capture images that showed allyship. A pinkie promise between friends to signify that they will always be there for each other.
